Citadelle Gin was revived in 1989 by Alexandre Gabriel of Maison Ferrand in Cognac, France, using the original 18th-century recipe from the Dunkirk distillery — fired by an open flame in a copper Charentais still during the cognac off-season. No Mistake Old Tom is Citadelle's tribute to the Old Tom style of 18th-century England, sweetened with toasted, barrel-aged Caribbean cane sugar and then further aged in oak casks.

Gin Description Golden amber. Spice and cedar wood on the nose — cubeb pepper and juniper prominent, with raisin, citrus and a warm caramel from the aged sugar. Moderately sweet on the palate with brown sugar, black walnut and juniper; the toasted pumpkin spice and cassia dominate the back palate, finishing with a long, dry, woody note. An exceptionally bold Old Tom.
Serve Served neat over ice as a standalone spirit; or in a classic Tom Collins or Old Fashioned where its sweetness replaces the sugar syrup
