Chateau Croizet-Bages holds Cinquieme Cru Classe (Fifth Growth) status from the historic 1855 Bordeaux Classification and is owned by the Quie family, who also own Chateau Rauzan-Gassies in Margaux. The 26-hectare vineyard sits on the gravelly Bages plateau in Pauillac, planted mainly to Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine is fermented in cement tanks and aged for around a year in oak barrels, producing a classically structured Pauillac built to age.
