Absolut Vodka has been produced in Åhus, southern Sweden since 1879, owned by Pernod Ricard. Launched in New York in 1979, its iconic apothecary bottle — inspired by an 18th-century medicine bottle found in a Stockholm antique shop — and the 1985 Andy Warhol commission transformed it into one of the world's most recognisable brands. Unlike some vodkas, Absolut contains no added sugar. Absolut Extrakt uses the same Åhus winter wheat spirit infused with natural elderflower & black fruit flavour — no added sugar.
